Ben and Megan are engaged! What great news! These two are just perfect together. I’ve gotta tell you about them!
The Hunk and I met Ben when we were doing campus ministry and he was an undergrad at Ohio State. Now, Ben’s all graduated and on to his future career as a math teacher. Way to go, Ben! I’ve known you for years now. I did your senior session and some Mother’s Day pics of you and your family. I also shot your sister’s wedding! [Those pics were back in the day when filters were the name of the game. I’m kinda glad that’s all over with!]
I’m so glad that I get to share these moments with the world! Wahoo!
Megan met Ben on a mission trip last summer. “Where are his shoes?” was her first reaction when she met Ben. And she remembers his good cooking on the trip. I’ll have to ask more about that good cooking!
Megan graduated from Ohio University this year with a degree in Music Therapy. She’s headed off to her first internship all the way in Maryland and will be there for something like six months. [You’re gonna rock it, girl! I just know it!]
Know what that means, though? These two are going to be away from one another for a good portion of their engagement. Yikes! Since The Hunk and I dated long distance, we know some of the tricks of this trade: video chat, cards, surprise visits. Those are all good ideas. Another good one: Write good old-fashioned letters to one another. And read books together and discuss them on the phone.
You two will survive!
