So, I can’t decide if I’m sad, ticked, or just good with it all.  I mean, without going into details, that was a mean thing that happened.  Follow-up was promised–not delivered.  I gave no deadline for that follow-up, but it should still have been delivered by now, I think.  I’m not being unreasonable.  I’ve got to take care of me, ya know.  But, freal.  Who just drops the ball like that?

But, things are good, anyway.  The last couple of weeks have been full of greatness despite this confusing end or unend to whatever-it-was.  There are those pieces of joy … in order that they come to me:

* I finished and turned in my MAT portfolio.  I’ll find out soon if it passed and I’ll graduate May 10.

* I’ve finished all cycles of my Kentucky Teacher Internship Program (KTIP).  On this final cycle, I earned a perfect score!  I rocked it!  I worked hard and I’m proud of myself.

* My birthday was Sunday.  It was a nice birthday with an abundant number of birthday wishes from family and friends both long-time and recently-met.

* I went on a ladies’ night out with some peeps from church and some chicks I hadn’t met.  We went to the Melting Pot, which was pretty cool.  We diagnosed me with bad tastebuds–well, really, inexperienced tastebuds.  I vow to make year 24 the year I try a bigger variety of foods.  We’ll see how this goes.

* My mamma has decided we should go on a cruise.  Next week, I will be cruising from Fort Canaveral to Nassau, Bahamas, then to Cococay, Bahamas, then back to Fort Canaveral.  It will be much fun!  Babysis and I are going to hang out all week! 🙂

* I’ve decided to take babysteps to try to make the world a little greener.  Margaret bought me a water bottle that rocks and I’ve used it all week.  My hope is to never buy another case of waterbottles again.  Again, we’ll see how much sticktoitiveness I have here.

* I bought an awesome couple of bathing suits for the cruise and this summer.  Hopefully these’ll last longer than just having one suit all summer. 🙂

* I made a new friend; we have a student teacher at work.  She’s pretty great and loves Jesus.  Her name is Kelly.

* I received numerous compliments on my teaching style/ablilities/classroom management/etc. during my KTIP meeting.  Maybe I’m not half bad, afterall!

* I’ve made more steps toward deciding to join the church I attend.  I haven’t fully decided just yet, but I have committed to something that will start in May and go for the course of a year.  And, actually, unofficially committed to something else, too… ha.  I’m sure it’s inevitable.  It may just be a matter of finishing FPU and membership classes being offered.  Who knows?  I continue to pray and I continue to find, as I’ve said, little joyful surprises along the way. 🙂

So, yeah, that’s that.

Next week, about this time, I’ll be having a glorious dinner aboard the Soverign of the Seas!
