Most of the time, we don’t know anything about the impact we have on others–friends, people in passing, telemarketers, etc. We make the decision to follow Christ, to follow his suggestions for living life. It’s a rare day when someone lets it slip that they recognize your strong faith.
Recently, I met with a friend who is not a believer. After I discussed some of my own life decisions, she said, “That’s so much faith!” Her comment caught me off guard. Of course, my decision wasn’t made in hopes that I could “prove” to someone else that I have faith. But it is a nice reminder that our decisions, as Christians, speak–our faith speaks.
I hope God can use my obedience (when I am obedient, of course) to speak to His faithfulness. It is wonderful, humbling, and fantastic to know that God can use our obedience to speak to His faithworthiness. 🙂
