Wow! Thank you, Jesus, for a friend whose heart contradicts those hearts I’ve come into contact with so many times in my life.
A simple phone call. Humility. A servant’s heart. I’m overwhelmed at the mixture of these three things as they have just been presented to me. A jewel, she is. How refreshing! These actions truly speak volumes of the Work You have done in her life and heart. I truly see You. Your Love, Humility, and Servanthood.
Thank you, Jesus, for dwelling within Your people and overfilling us with Your Love. Thank You, Jesus, for the opportunity to offer forgiveness and for a friend who desires to treat others in the manner You would have us. Furthermore, thank You, Lord, for a friend who will take the extra step to be sure her intentions are clear and her heart is not misunderstood. I’m impressed. Help me to emulate this humility and heart in my everyday life.
That’s a way to answer a prayer!
That’s a way to stitch a heart back together!

Continually, God, help me to be pure in my thoughts toward those who have betrayed me, even though they have neither found the humility necessary to grant apologies nor fully realized the eternal consequences of their very intentional actions.
