After more brainstorming, I’ve thought trying to get my own skymiles. I keep getting invites from American Express to get skymiles. Even if I just use it for a year, pay the monthly finance charges and don’t put anything on it (or pay the balance every month), I would have at least 20,000 miles to use. That’d get me there and back, right? If I had the card for just 12 months, I’d pay $0.50/month. The annual fee is waved for the first year, so I wouldn’t have to worry about that. I’m beginning to think this is worth it–unless the miles can only be used domestically. Then, it’d be a waste of time.
