Wow! Time has certainly been just passing me by this fall! It seems like only yesterday I shot this fabulous wedding–but it’s been a month and a half!
Mr. and Mrs. DeMay, you are wonderful! I am so honored to have captured your joyful day and I have loved seeing you happily married since that day!
Here’s a rundown on the fabulous day.
I was sick.
Like–I took off three days from my full-time job that week. Went to the doctor’s office twice that week.
By the time the wedding day came around, I had finally figured out the perfect mixture of meds to keep me going. I believe I was on about three or four different medications and, of course, adrenaline. I always bring tissues with me to weddings for the brides, but this time I had extra for me.
But seriously, this wedding kicks boo-tay!
Check it!
Be on the lookout for the details.

The guys had a blast before the ceremony.

Kim was such a happy bride. Seriously. All she did was smile.

These girls were fun! And beautiful!

I like the nice touches this couple put together for their wedding party.

The bride and groom decided to forgo the first look (which I LOVE). They had a prayer together before the ceremony.

Ray was so nervous before Kim arrived.

These two love birds were married at Rustic Hills Country Club in Medina, Ohio. This gazebo is so cute!

This guy gets the award for best reaction to seeing his bride! #winning!

And for good reason.

The wedding was precious. And there may or may not have been a quote or two from The Princess Bride. I happen to be partial toward the man in the suit. The one who is clearly in charge here. ;)

They chose a sand ceremony to symbolize their love and commitment to one another.

I love the exchange of rings. The bride and groom are always so giddy since they are formalizing their commitment to one another.

And they’re married!

Obviously, Ray is delighted!

Seriously, didn’t even stage the groomsmen’s reaction to Ray’s ring.

But seriously, my favorite moment of the day right after the bride and groom have left the wedding location. Usually I get at least a second with them before the craziness resumes. They usually chat a bit and sometimes I sneak in a pose or two. This is the moment I look forward to all day long.

What an epic bridal party! You guys rocked! Thanks for being up for all of my crazy ideas!

Here are the many faces of Rayberly. Love these two!

Seriously, Kim. Your. Shoes. Stole. The. Show.

Aw, the bride and groom were actually nice to each other when they cut the cake. My mother would be proud of them.

First dance. This time deserves to be frozen for ever. In love with these moments.
I have a soft spot for father/daughter dances. Love how he looks at Kim.

Seriously. There are no words for how awesome these faces are.

And BAM. They’re married!

I can’t believe you are finally married! Thanks for letting me peek inside your day and capture the memories to preserve for your forever love!
Blessings,

PS: I got to dance with the preacher man. He’s a hunk.

PSS: Remember how I was sick the week leading up the wedding? This girl–she seriously saved my life. Thanks, Jess, for helping me out!

Ray and Kim got hitched at Rustic Hills Golf Club on Saturday! Here’s the “finally Rayberly” sneak peek!

Enjoy your Disney honeymoon, you two!
With squeals of delight,

Oh my goodness!!
It’s already almost been a MONTH since Megan and Kyle got hitched!

I met Megan years ago. She helped my wedding photographer with my own wedding! What!? Crazy. I wasn’t even doing weddings back then.

We got ready in her childhood home.

I love that Megan got to hang with her dad that morning and have some father/daughter time.

These girls were so much fun and you can tell they just adore Megan.

Once we arrived at the nature preserve, we started with their wonderful first look.

Then, we grabbed some group shots.

Megan hid Mickey Mouses throughout the day; here are a few I found.

Don’t these guys just look so… dapper!?

I loved Megan’s bouquet. The white lace in there is from her grandmother’s wedding dress. I love special touches!

FYI: If you have your wedding at a nature preserve, you’ll find that small, buggy creatures like to sneak between layers of your dress. We probably spent a collective hour getting these guys out of tulle.

Megan and Kyle tied the knot at W.W. Knight Nature Preserve in Perrysburg, Ohio.

And, seriously, I can never get enough of bubble exits!

After we bustled Megan’s dress, we had a little girl time in the room where she pledged her love to Kyle. I love how happy she is! This was so fun, Megan!

Then, we grabbed a few pics of Megan and Kyle–HUSBAND AND WIFE!! I love the relaxed feeling the bride and groom always has after the ceremony is over. The stress is over and it’s time to party!

Speaking of party, we partied at Mancy’s Steakhouse in Toledo. Check it:

There were people giving speeches, laughing, and dancing.

It was a great day and I’m so honored to have been a part of it.
Megan, I hope you and Kyle always love Jesus more than each other, but that you love and respect one other unconditionally. Don’t forget: You’re on the same team!
Happy marriage,

Megan and Kyle

On Saturday, Kyle and Megan tied the knot in the Toledo area! While I’m going through the nearly 2000 images to present to the lovely bride and groom, I wanted to share this fabulous image that made me giddy. I love it!
Enjoy.

What a great summer it’s been! As I wind up my summer activities, I am happy to share with you Emily and Jacob’s engagement session! You’ve already met Emily and Jacob, as Jacob commissioned me to photograph his proposal to Emily. But, of course you remember that.
But, let’s get to know these two a little bit more. I love their story. These two love birds began dating during their senior year of high school. Next spring, they will both graduate from college. Emily studies architecture at Ball State University. Jacob studies natural resource management at Ohio State University. Emily’s dream is to bring historic life back to classic homes but to also make them practical for modern-day living. Jacob loves trees. And plants. And pretty much wants to do anything he can to preserve them. (Well, he cuts them down, sometimes, but that’s a different story…)
Side Story: During our engagement session, Jacob and Emily wanted to go into the woods. When I asked about poison ivy, he said it was everywhere. I pretty much get poison ivy by looking at it, but Jacob was a true hero; he pointed out all of the death weed as we walked and gave me a path to follow so as not to brush up against the skin murderers. His endeavors were a success, as I didn’t get a lick of the rash. Thanks, Jacob!
My husband coaches Jacob and other leaders of Oasis Christian Community on OSU’s campus. So, we met Emily through Jacob.
Here’s the best part: Emily brought Jacob to Christ while they were on Facetime. Seriously. I love this story because it means I get to tell about salvation!
We started our engagement session at Thaddeus Kosciuzko Park in Dublin, Ohio. Their alma mater is just next door–Dublin Scioto High School. Then, we had a quick outfit change and relocated to Glacier Ridge Metro Park in Plain City, Ohio.
These two are crazy about each other. And I’m crazy about them.
I can’t wait to shoot their wedding next July!
Emily and Jacob, enjoy this year of engagement; use it to learn about each other and prepare for an awesome foundation in marriage.
Love and prayers,

Last night, I had the honor of capturing these two in camera.
I can’t wait to see what God has in store for these two! –and, of course, I can’t wait to shoot their wedding next July!

Everybody needs a good jumping picture!
