This was my reaction, this evening, when making chili on this cold, gloomy, winter evening. I’ve made chili before, but the aroma and flavor weren’t quite right. I was a little extra generous in some ingredients this time, which lead to a familiar aroma instead of a knock-off sort of smell.
Also, it helps that Rev. Husband added green peppers and chopped dried red peppers.

Yum-o!
Here’s my recipe:
- One pound of browned ground beef
- One can tomato sauce
- One can diced tomatoes
- One can chili beans
- Garlic powder to taste
- Onion powder to taste
- Chili powder to taste
- A couple splashes of Worcestershire sauce
- One chopped green onion
- Two chopped dried red pepper
Mix ingredients together into a large pot; heat on medium for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. 🙂
that looks yummy! I always double and sometimes triple the amount of chili powder called for when I make a chili recipe. You should share this one with us =)
Edited to include the recipe! 🙂
